Use and Care of Tools
Keeps apprentices aware of current information on various types of tools, the correct and safe use of tools and knowledge of when and how they should be used as well as proper care of tools.
Soldering & Brazing/Oxy-Acet Cutting
Preparation and joining of the cup type copper tube joint both by the soldering and brazing methods. Proper and safe use of tools, torches, solders, filler metals and fluxes used in making copper tube joints. Brazing techniques for the installation of medical gas systems and certified brazer qualification.
Rigging & Signaling
Affords apprentices with information necessary to protect themselves and their fellow workers against injury while handling the materials and equipment they work with every day.

An overview of the opportunities provided in a pipe trades career as well as the responsibilities and attitudes required for success.
